Examined By KPK For 5 Hours, Cak Imin Reveals Corruption Case Of The Ministry Of Manpower Suspect Former Director General

JAKARTA - PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin revealed that there were three suspects in the corruption case in the procurement of the Indonesian labor control project (TKI).

He conveyed this after undergoing examination at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Thursday, September 7. Cak Imin was examined by investigators as a witness from 09.50 WIB to 15.00 WIB or about five hours.

"This protection system is a case that is being investigated by the KPK, the suspect is a former director-general, former staff of the director-general, and one of the entrepreneurs or something like that," Cak Imin told reporters.

Cak Imin confirmed that he had explained all his knowledge to investigators. The former Minister of Manpower (Menaker) for the 2009-2014 period hopes that this case will be resolved soon.

"Everything I heard. So, God willing, everything I remember and know I have explained," he said.

"Hopefully the KPK can quickly and completely handle corruption cases. I support the completion of corruption cases," continued Cak Imin.

Meanwhile, Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said investigators asked for a number of information from Cak Imin. "So that it will shed light on the construction of the case," he told reporters, Thursday, September 7.

Previously, the KPK had announced that three suspects were named in the case of procuring the protection system. Although it has not been announced, the Secretary of the Planning and Development Agency of the Ministry of Manpower I Nyoman Darmanta is reportedly involved.

The value of the information system procurement project that is suspected to be the result of the perpetrators reached around Rp. 20 billion. Deputy Chairman Alexander Marwata said that this system was allegedly corrupted until it could not be used to monitor migrant workers.

"Those who can only use computers to type and so on. However, the system itself is not running," Alexander told reporters in Jakarta, Thursday, August 24.
