JAKARTA - The TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono said that he had coordinated with the BMKG to seek artificial rain to reduce pollution in Jakarta. Air pollution is considered as one of the disturbances during the 43rd ASEAN Summit. "In the meeting I also conveyed to the BMKG so that TMC (weather modification technology) can still be carried out by bringing rain. Hopefully this can be successful," said Yudo at Monas, Friday, September 1. Not only waiting for efforts from the BMKG, Yudo said that the TNI-Polri had also taken steps to reduce the impact of air pollution, one of which was by spraying on several roads. "Yesterday we also carried out by spraying on the streets carried out by the Damkar and TNI and other governments, yes, all of them will also try to reduce the level of air pollution in Jakarta," he said.

In addition, it is said that the provincial government (Pemprov) of DKI and the ministry have implemented work from home (WFH) for some of its staff. That way, it is hoped that it can reduce air pollution which may come from motorized vehicle smoke. "Including work from home activities that are implemented so that hopefully everything can reduce pollution in Jakarta," said Yudo.
