Surya Paloh Reply To Democratic Allegations: I Think My Model Has A Betrayer Talent

JAKARTA - The General Chairperson (Ketum) of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, spoke up regarding accusations of treason over Nasdem-PKB political cooperation carrying the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin duo.

"You can see that my model has talent as a traitor or not. That's all, but I respect that," said Surya Paloh in Jakarta, Thursday, August 31.

Surya also said that he did not understand what the Secretary-General of the Democratic Party Teuku Riefky Harsya said, who revealed that the Anies-Cak Imin duo was carried out unilaterally.

He admitted that he was still waiting for confirmation whether the statement was an official Democratic or personal decision from Teuku. However, Surya respects the decision.

"I don't understand it, as a brother to all of you. You see the atmosphere, whether you are avoiding you or not, psychologically only. Especially for coalition friends, it's impossible, but hopefully we don't know whether this is an official decision, whether this is a personal causal decision, represented by us we don't know yet," he said.

Previously, Teuku said that the Anies-Cak Imin duet was carried out without involving the Democrats. Teuku revealed that the decision was made by the initiative of the Nasdem Chairman, Surya Paloh.

This has been confirmed by the Democrats from Anies, which was confirmed by the former Governor of DKI Jakarta.

"Democrats were "forced" to accept the decision (fait accompli)," he said.

Responding to this, the Democrats will hold a meeting of the Party High Council. The meeting agenda is to make the next decision regarding the party's attitude in the Coalition for Amendments to Unity (KPP).
