Dinhub Banyumas Will Issue Parking Mandatory Tourism Bus Rules At Baturraden Lower Terminal

BANYUMAS - The Department of Transportation (Dinhub) of Banyumas Regency, Central Java, immediately issued a regulation requiring tourism buses that take tourists to the Baturraden Lokawisata and its surroundings to park at the bottom terminal of Baturraden. "We have compiled and submitted a Banyumas Regent Regulation that regulates this," said Head of the Banyumas Regency Transportation Agency Agus Sriyono in Purwokerto, Banyumas, Central Java, Antara, Wednesday, August 30. He said this to reporters after receiving an audience with representatives of the Baturraden Tourist Transportation (Batrans) Association who demonstrated at the Banyumas District Dinhub Office to demand that the tourism bus no longer park at the terminal above Baturraden and return to its original position at the bottom terminal of Baturraden. According to him, the regent's regulation (perbup) has been prepared to accommodate the demands of rural transportation drivers, especially Batrans. Therefore, he said, in the hearing there was an agreement to revive the operation of rural transportation, which is currently getting worse because there are obstacles in terms of technical age of vehicles, so sometimes it cannot serve passenger transportation. "On the one hand, they have also served frequently for the transportation of modes or continued from the lower terminal (Baturraden) to their respective locations. For this reason, we propose a perbup on the transportation of certain tourist areas," he said. He said the regulation includes tourism clusters in Baturraden, so that Batrans rural transportation can later serve tourists from the lower terminal to Baturraden and other curugs. In serving these tourists, there will be cooperation with travel agencies in the form of ticket bundling. "Biro, who from outside cooperates with the bureau in Banyumas, then buys one ticket, this includes transportation and entering tourist sites, so it is practical and easy," he explained. According to him, the cooperation will also provide clear rates for the transportation of tourism modes in Baturraden. Regarding the request of the Batrans Association for medium and large tourism buses to stop or park at the lower terminal, Agus admitted that based on existing topolography, the exit route from the Baturraden Lokatawisata direction is a sharp derivative with a slope of more than 10 degrees. "If a big bus or bus is on the way, we are worried that there is a potential for brake failure. If the brakes fail, there, in the middle there is a monument, it is very dangerous, so we don't recommend a big bus to go down there," he said. Therefore, he said, medium and large tourism buses will later park again at the bottom terminal of Baturraden and the passengers will be transported by modeuding to the destination for the safety of all. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Batrans Karso Association said that his party accepted the agreement produced in the hearing. He admitted that Batrans transport drivers have not been able to earn money for the last five months or since Baturraden Tourism was managed by the regional public service agency (BLUD) because medium or large tourism buses were allowed to enter the upper terminal, so no one parked at the lower terminal. In fact, he said, the number of rural transportation members in the Batrans reached 69 units consisting of three routes, namely lanes A, B, and C.

"All of us want it to be returned to its original state, the tourism buses bound for Baturraden enter the lower terminal, that's all, the same action against odong-odong," he said.
