Police Defendant Of Embezzlement Of Brimob Billion Primkoppol Money Tried At Medan District Court

The Medan District Court (PN), Tuesday, began to try police officer AKP Hapis Paisal Lubis, the former head of the police cooperative (Primkoppol) of the North Sumatra Police Mobile Brigade Unit who was suspected of embezzling money worth Rp3.7 billion.

"Yes, the defendant's indictment has been read out in front of the panel of judges chaired by Lucas Sahabat Duha," said North Sumatra High Prosecutor Sri Delyanti at the Medan District Court as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 29.

He said AKP Hapis Paesal Lubis submitted a bank account with a bank stamp logo with a value of Rp. 4 billion, the suspect in collaboration with third parties using the North Sumatra Police Brimob Sat Primkoppol cash without the approval of members or supervisors.

Among them, cooperation with convection parties worth Rp. 1.8 billion, cooperation with someone named Heri, namely for inheritance management capital in Sukapeace Village, Polonia Medan worth Rp. 210 million, then cooperation with Darmansyah Sitepu worth Rp. 240 million.

Then the cooperation with Arifin as the land administrator in Marelan worth Rp250 million, besides that the defendant also invested in fish worth Rp120 million.

"The auditor found the losses suffered by the North Sumatra Police Mobile Brigade Primkoppol since 2019-2022 worth Rp3.7 billion," said Sri Delyanti.

For his actions, the defendant was charged with violating as regulated and threatened with crime in Article 372 of the Criminal Code or Article 374 of the Criminal Code.
