KPK Urged By Students To Immediately Arrest Harun Masiku

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) was asked to immediately arrest former PDI-P (PDIP) legislative candidate Harun Masiku who is still at large. The alleged bribery he committed against former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan was asked to be thoroughly investigated.

"Asking the KPK to immediately arrest greedy corruptor Harun Masiku," said BEM Indonesia Solidarity Coordinator Sues Rizki in front of the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, August 29.

Rizki said that his party was confused about the reason the anti-corruption commission never arrested Harun, who had been on the run for three years. In fact, the KPK is considered the ability to arrest the suspects.

It didn't stop there, the KPK was also urged not to hesitate to take action against anyone who helped Harun escape. "Now the KPK just has to choose, whether to arrest Harun Masiku or let him continue to move without being tried," he said.

"KPK don't be afraid of pressure and influence from the ruling political party to immediately arrest fugitive Harun Masiku," he continued.

The National Police previously said Harun Masiku was in the country. This certainty is based on the crossing data they have.

"There is data on the crossing that shows that the person concerned is domestically," said Head of the National Police's International Relations Division (Kadiv Hubinter) Inspector General Krishna Murti after meeting with the KPK structural ranks at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, August 7.

However, the KPK revealed that the data was old information. There has been no latest notification.
