Murder And Persecution Of Couples In Tebet, Police Check Victim's Nephew

JAKARTA - The police have examined five witnesses in connection with the murder case of a man with the initials MY (61) and the abuse of his wife, H (43) in Tebet, South Jakarta. It was found that the perpetrators were still neighbors of the two victims.

"We are examining two more witnesses. Add one reporting witness, namely the nephew (victim). (Total) 5 witnesses," said Tebet Police Chief Kompol Jamalinus Nababan when confirmed, Sunday, August 27.

Jamalinus said the alleged perpetrator was one of the victim's neighbors. Police continue to pursue the police to the location where the perpetrators usually gather.

"Not yet being pursued. Try to check maybe where he gathered with his friend, his family's house was already," he said.

Regarding the news circulating that the motive for the murder and abuse was based on debts, Jamalinus did not want to speculate. He asked all parties to wait for the results of the ongoing investigation

"Well, hopefully we can get information from the mother. Therefore, rumors are that if the mother can be spoken to carefully, all kinds of motives will be more open," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a man with the initials MY was killed at his own home on Jalan Perintis, Kebon Baru, Tebet, South Jakarta. The other victim, his wife H, was seriously injured.

Jamalinus said the incident occurred on Saturday, August 26, at around 20.00 WIB.

"Yes, it is true (there has been an allegation of murder). Then the woman suffered injuries. It is known that the woman and the man were a husband and wife," he said Saturday, August 23.
