Investigating Allegations Of Corruption In Panji Gumilang BOS Funds, 4 Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School Officials Examined By The Police

The National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit examined four witnesses in the investigation of a series of cases of alleged money laundering (TPPU), including the alleged corruption of the School Operational Assistance Fund (BOS) involving Panji Gumilang. They are the foundation's supervisors to the treasurer of the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School. "The examination of 3 people from the Al Zaytun Madrasah Treasurer with the initials SM, M, and NH,” said the Director of Special Economic Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan when confirmed, Thursday, August 24. Not only the treasurer, during the examination which took place on Wednesday, August 23, yesterday, investigators also asked for information from AH as the supervisor of the foundation that oversees the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School. However, it was not detailed about the results of the examination. Whisnu only said that his party would continue to investigate the case by summoning a number of other witnesses. "Furthermore, a witness will be summoned to the Foundation members, and the Foundation management, as well as the deepening of the Madrasah related to the BOS Fund," said Whisnu. Previously, it was reported that the Directorate of Special Economic Crimes at Bareskrim Polri continued to investigate allegations of corruption in the School Operational Assistance Fund (BOS) of the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School involving Panji Gumilang. Investigators will cooperate with the Directorate of Corruption Crimes in handling it. "(Coordinate with) the Corruption Crime Directorate for the investigation of BOS funds," said Whisnu.

In addition, investigators will also coordinate with other institutions regarding Panji Gumilang's account. The coordination is suspected to be related to confiscation. "Dittipideksus investigators are also coordinating with the Attorney General's Office, PPATK regarding accounts that have been temporarily suspended," said Whisnu.
