Wine Nabidz Producer Policed For Halal Claims

JAKARTA - Muhammad Adinurkiat reported the producer and seller of the Nabidz brand 'wine halal' to Polda Metro Jaya. The report was because he felt cheated that the drink labeled halal was actually quite high alcohol.

"Today I accompanied my client to report his initials BY, as the maker and seller of halal wine branded Nabidz, yes, so he claims this is halal wine," said Muhammad Adinurkiat's attorney, Sumadi Atmadja, to reporters quoted Thursday, August 24.

According to Sumadi, his client felt cheated by the halal label. Moreover, Adinurkiat is also said to have asked the reported party as a seller about this matter.

At that time, the reported assured that the wine he was selling was halal. In fact, it was registered with the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag).

"Then the reporter also communicated when he asked 'bro, how is this? Is the wine halal or not?' He had repeatedly convinced our client that he said 'calm bro halal, safe'," he said.

However, when drunk, Adinurkiat feels strange. So, he sought information about the Nabidz brand 'wine halal'.

It turned out, said Sumadi, that the reported party registered its product as wine juice to the Ministry of Religion. In fact, the halal certification has been revoked.

"I was registered at the Ministry of Religion, yes, but we both know the news that the Ministry of Religion has withdrawn it turns out that what was registered was not this halal wine, but the wine juice that was registered. And finally the Ministry of Religion revoked the halal certificate," he said.

"MUI juga melalui komisi fatwa telah melakukan uji lab dan hasilnya itu wine kuhadz ini tidak halal, atau haram," sambung Sumadi.

Meanwhile, the report has been registered with the number LP/B/4975/VIII/2023/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA dated August 23, 2023.

BY as the reported party is suspected of violating Article 28 paragraph (1) and / or Article 45A paragraph (1) and / or Article 8 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 62 paragraph (1) of the Consumer Protection Law and / or Article 56 in conjunction with Article 25 letter B of the Halal Product Guarantee Law.
