PT AMG Mining Corruption, 2 Suspects From Labuhan Port Lombok Examined By The NTB Prosecutor's Office

NTB - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) is investigating two suspects in the alleged corruption case of the PT Anugrah Mitra Graha (AMG) iron sand mine in the Dedalpak Block, East Lombok.

Spokesperson for the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Efrien Saputera, said the two suspects had the initials SI and S from the Lombok Labuhan Class III Port Organizing Unit Office.

"Yes, the suspects SI and S from the port authority were questioned today," said Efrien in Mataram, NTB, Wednesday, August 23, as reported by Antara.

The examination of the two suspects by the investigative team, he continued, was carried out with the assistance of legal counsel.

Regarding the examination material, he was reluctant to convey it on the grounds that this was under the authority of the investigation team.

"The form of additional examination is only for material, that's the secret of investigation," he said.

The two suspects underwent examination at the NTB Prosecutor's Office from 10.00 WITA to 15.30 WITA. After the examination, both of them were reluctant to provide information. Likewise with the attorney who provides assistance.

Prosecutors' investigators have entrusted the two suspects to the Class IIA Kuripan Prison, West Lombok Regency.

In this case, the two suspects have different roles. For the suspect SI, he acts as Head of the Class III Port Organizing Unit Office of Labuhan Lombok.

He was detained after being named a suspect along with MH, who is a former Head of the NTB Energy and Mineral Resources Service (ESDM), and SM, the former Head of Mineral and Coal (Minerba) Division of the NTB Energy and Mineral Resources Service who is still active as Head of the Dompu Manpower Service (Disnaker) on July 20, 2023.

For suspect S, who is SI's subordinate, he will be detained five days later on July 25, 2023.

Then, there are three other suspects, namely the Head of the PT AMG Branch of East Lombok Regency with the initials RA, the Director of PT AMG with the initials PSW and the former Head of the NTB Energy and Mineral Resources Service (ESDM) with the initials ZA.

Especially for the files of suspects PSW and RA, they have now entered the court table with the agenda of reading the indictment which will be held on Thursday (24/8) at the Mataram District Court Corruption Court.

As a suspect, investigators apply similar criminal charges, namely Article 2 paragraph (1) and / or Article 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.

In this case, it was revealed that there were indications that PT AMG carried out mining in the Dedalpak Block without obtaining annual RKAB approval from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. Such mining activities took place in the period 2021 to 2022.

From the investigation process, the Prosecutor's Office has received the results of an audit from the NTB BPKP with a loss value of Rp36 billion.
