JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion's Halal Product Guarantee Administration (BPJPH) revoked the halal certificate for fruit juice products branded Nabidz because it was found that there was a violation in the halal certification process. The Head of BPJPH of the Ministry of Religion, Aqil Irham, said that based on the investigations carried out, it was found that unscrupulous business actors and assistants to the Halal Product Process (PPH) deliberately manipulated the data for submitting halal Nabidz certification. "For violations committed by business actors with the initials BY, BPJPH has given sanctions in the form of revocation of the halal certificate with the number ID311100037606120523 with the Jus Buah Wine product starting August 15, 2023," said Aqil in his statement in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, August 23. Meanwhile, for the violation committed by the PPH Companion with the initials AS, BPJPH has imposed sanctions with the revocation of the PPH Companion Registration Number for data manipulation and products. The name Nabidz previously registered fruit juice products. However, it was later discovered that the owner uploaded an information photo that they produce wine drinks that are halal certified. Aqil said BPJPH had dispatched a supervisory team after complaints and viral news in the community regarding claims about halal wine Nabidz. Aqil emphasized that the product with the Nabidz trademark certified by BPJPH is a fruit juice or juice product. Jus or fruit juice, he said, is a type of product that can be certified through a self-declare (business actor statement) mechanism and entering one of the products is not risky.
