Governor Murad Ismail: Indonesia Without Maluku Is Not Indonesia

JAKARTA - Maluku Governor Murad Ismail quoted the statement by the first President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) Ir. Soekarno who said that 'Indonesia without Maluku is not Indonesia' in the ceremony to commemorate the 78th Anniversary of Maluku Province

"This expression was appointed so that it could inspire Maluku to continue to be maximal in every potential in Maluku," said Governor Murad in Ambon, quoted from Antara, Sunday, August 20.

In the 78th Anniversary of Maluku Province, the theme 'Maluku Advances For Advanced Indonesia'.

"This theme inspires us to continue working to mobilize all regional potential so that Maluku can grow and advance. So that it is equal to other regions in Indonesia. Indonesia will be called advanced if Maluku also contributes to this progress," said Murad.

Murad continued, as the initial province in Indonesia, the people of Maluku must also learn from the struggle of the heroes such as the spirit of unity and integrity, being willing to sacrifice and love for the country must also be practiced in their daily lives.

"Learning from the story of the struggle of the heroes, at least we find three exemplary values as a legacy and from them. That is, the spirit of unity and integrity is the most important asset in the struggle during the independence period. That spirit must be the capital in our efforts to build Maluku because we cannot move alone. We must work in a controlled system with a clear command line, "he explained.

Not only that, the slogan of the Maluku people must also be inherited and built in the life tolerance of the basudara people.

"The three feelings of love for the country, patriotism and prioritizing regional interests are attitudes that are always reflected in the actions of our predecessors.
