"Based on weather observations, the fog phenomenon that occurs in Palembang and surrounding areas causes a decrease in visibility but is still relatively safe for flights and other community activities," he said.

In the last few days the visibility in Palembang City has ranged from 2,500 to 5,000 meters, this condition is still in the safe category.

"The phenomenon of fog tends to appear before morning, when the temperature is coldest on the earth's surface and the humidity reaches the highest level," he said.

"This makes water vapor saturated and forms solid water points known as fog," he said.
