BABEL - West Bangka (Babel) Resort Police (Polres) compiled a security scheme for the opening of the Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) VI Bangka Belitung Islands (Babel) to ensure the safety and smooth running of the event.

"Today we are confirming preparations with all officers who will be involved in securing the opening of the activity which will be held on the evening of August 22, 2023," said West Bangka Police Chief Ade Zamrah in Mentok, Friday, August 18, as quoted by Antara.

He said that preparations had been carried out optimally with a number of other relevant agencies, one of which was by holding an assembly at the location of the opening of the activity, namely at the Sports Center Sejiran Setason, Mentok District.

After the rally was on standby, his party then simulated a test of the operational plan or "tactical floor game" (TFG) scheme for securing the opening of Porprov VI Babel.

In general, the number of personnel as well as facilities and infrastructure that will be deployed in security is sufficient to accommodate the existence of a joint team from the TNI, Kodim, Company, Lanal, Dishub, Satpol PP, BPBD, Fire Department, Health Service and others.

"Everything has been prepared and earlier we have also held a simulation well, we have checked the readiness of the number of personnel, facilities and infrastructure that have been lowered," he said.

In the test of the operation plan, he said, there were several inputs related to the readiness of parking locations and there were still public roads that were not marked, which were feared to have the potential to cause traffic accidents.

"We will overcome this problem quickly because it is estimated that the number of residents who will witness the opening of the porprov is very large," he said.

In addition, his party will also add stadium doors so that the circulation in and out is smooth, comfortable and safe.

"This is also to avoid possible disturbances, mass buildup, congestion and traffic congestion," he said.

To secure the opening of the 2023 Porprov Babel in the Sejiran Setason Stadium, the West Bangka Police have prepared as many as 200 personnel plus 100 personnel assistance from the Brimob Polda Babel and hundreds of joint team officers.

As for the security of the entire series of Porprov activities, the West Bangka Police together with a joint team have prepared 431 security officers, with details of the West Bangka Police 141 personnel, support from the Babel Police 175 personnel, Kodim 0431/West Bangka Police Unit 60 people and the Transportation Service 25 officers, they will be placed in various match locations and contingent stay areas from all regencies/cities.
