The South Sulawesi DPRD-Pemprov Agrees On The 2024 APBD KUA-PPAS Draft

The Provincial DPRD together with the Provincial Government of South Sulawesi finally agreed on the results of the discussion on the draft General Policy of the APBD (KUA) and the Priority of the Temporary Budget Ceiling (PPAS) of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) in 2024.

"After we hear a report from the Budget Agency regarding the implementation of its duties with the Regional Government Budget Team, in principle, we can approve the 2024 KUA-PPAS APBD to be declared a Joint Agreement Note," said Deputy Chairman of the South Sulawesi DPRD Ni'matullah Erbe while chairing the plenary session at the DPRD office, Makassar, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 16.

Regarding the draft KUA and PPAS APBD for the 2024 fiscal year, he explained, the Budget Agency together with the Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD) had previously conducted intensive discussions, in accordance with the provisions and mechanisms of the Council.

In addition, a series of meetings held to date, have taken place dynamically, and have arrived at the conclusion to enter the final stages, namely the signing of a memorandum of mutual agreement between the DPRD and the South Sulawesi Provincial Government.

Based on the records of the number of council members who signed the attendance list, he said, 33 of the 85 members of the council so that the plenary meeting of the council had fulfilled the quorum to be held.

"We would like to thank the Budget Agency and TAPD for completing their duties properly, so that in 2024 KUA and PPAS, we can agree together in today's plenary meeting," he said.

Although the Memorandum of Understanding has been signed, Ni'matullah said, he reminded again regarding the provisions stipulated in Article 169 paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) of Government Regulation (PP) number 12 of 2019 concerning Regional Financial Management.

"Essentially stated that the Regional Head conveyed the draft changes to the KUA and PPAS to the DPRD no later than the first week of August to be discussed and mutually agreed no later than the second week of August in the budget year regarding," he said.

He hopes that the Governor of South Sulawesi Andi Amran Sulaiman before his term of office is completed on September 5, 2023, to immediately submit documents for changes to the KUA and Changes to PPAS in 2023 for discussion.
