JAKARTA - The Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) has determined the status of a suspect to the President Director of PT XLI with the initials BSS, who is 47 years old, for cases of environmental pollution and illegally importing B3 waste.

Rasio explained that PT XLI is a foreign investment company located in the Cikande Modern Industrial Estate, Jalan Modern Industri VI Blok P.1 B, Cijeruk Village, Kibin District, Serang Regency, Banten.

The Ministry of Environment and Forestry ensnared BSS with multiple articles by referring to Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning environmental protection and management, namely Article 98, Article 103, Article 106, Article 116, and Article 119.

Yazid explained that after fulfilling two sufficient pieces of evidence based on the statements of witnesses, expert statements, and the results of laboratory analysis tests, KLHK investigators increased the handling of the case to the investigation stage by naming BSS and PT XLI as suspects.
