KPK Calls Harun Masiku Information In Indonesia Based On Old Crossing Data

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the crossing data that said Harun Masiku was in the country was not new. The fugitive in the bribery case of former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan was indeed recorded abroad before returning to Indonesia.

This was conveyed in response to the crossing data submitted by the Head of the International Relations Division (Kadiv Hubinter) of the National Police Inspector General Krishna Murti if Harun was in Indonesia.

"Yes (information based on, red) old crossing data," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur to reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, August 11.

"There has been no further data update after the last record," said Asep. In fact, the KPK actually received information about Harun going abroad via unofficial channels or mouse roads.

"We are following up on this information," he said.

Asep said follow-up efforts were carried out by sending a team while coordinating with the National Police's Divinterhub. However, Harun was not found in the country in question.

As previously reported, the National Police said Harun Masiku was in the country. This certainty is based on the crossing data they have.

"There is data on the crossing that shows that the person concerned is domestically," said Head of the National Police's International Relations Division (Kadiv Hubinter) Inspector General Krishna Murti after meeting with the KPK structural ranks at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, August 7.

Meanwhile, the KPK confirmed that it would follow up on information on the whereabouts of Harun Masiku, who is said to be in Indonesia. An active search will be carried out to make arrests.

"If there is, we will follow up. We will actively search," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters.

Ali said the KPK had opened its ears about Harun's whereabouts. "So this meeting does not stop, in the future, technically we will follow up through the deputy for prosecution and deputy for information and data," he said.
