PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said Ganjar Pranowo's assistant as a vice presidential candidate (cawapres) in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) would be announced when the time was right. The announcement will be made by PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri along with other general chairmen of supporting parties. "Just wait for the right momentum to be announced by Mrs. Mega with the general chairmen of supporters of Mr. Ganjar," Hasto told reporters, Thursday, August 10. Hasto said the figure of Ganjar's companion vice presidential candidate is currently there. However, Megawati was still contemplation in Bali before tapping the final decision.
