Andi Arief's Response To Anies' Assistance, NasDem: Makes Really Funny

JAKARTA - The chairman of the DPP NasDem Party Willy Aditya responded to a statement made by the Chairman of the Bappilu Democratic Party Andi Arief regarding Surya Paloh's name which was being proposed by one of the party's general chairmen at the Change Coalition for Unity (KPP) to become the vice presidential candidate for Anies Baswedan. For Willy, Andi's statement was just for fun, NasDem didn't need to take it seriously. "That's really funny, I don't need to respond," said Willy at the NasDem DPP Office, Jakarta, Thursday, August 10. According to Willy, the General Chairperson of NasDem Surya Paloh did not want to be anything. Paloh just wants to put the best people in leading this republic. "Sometimes we have to be sane with common sense. Pak Surya made this to advance the best sons and daughters. My friends think they can follow Pak Surya's track record. He wants Anies Baswesdan, why not the best, of course for vice presidential candidates why not best of the best," explained Willy. Andi Arief's allegation about the party leader at the KPP who followed Palon as Anies' companion was conveyed via his Twitter account @Andiarief_. "My guess is that there is a name that is being tested in the survey by one of the leaders of the Change Coalition party as a Vice President Candidate. If it is true that the name is Pak Surya Paloh, then it must be explained at this time by Mr. @aniesbaswedan," tweeted Andi Arief.

Andi Arief admitted that this statement was based on the information received. "That's the information we received and it's okay that the chairman of the party has the right to be nominated as a vice presidential candidate, that's normal," said Andi.
