Regarding Conversations With The President, Sandiaga: Leaders Are Always Right

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno conveyed his comments regarding President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) statement regarding his meeting.

Atas pertemuan tersebut, belum lama ini, Jokowi menegaskan bahwa tidak ada pembahasan politik antara dirinya dengan Sandiaga Uno. Pada kesempatan itu, mereka hanya membahas masalah pengembangan pariwisata, sesuai dengan kapasitas Sandi sebagai Menparekraf.

Based on Jokowi's statement, journalists also asked Sandiaga for comment. He emphasized that he has two rules or a guide in playing his role as the president's subordinate.

First, the leader is always right. Second, if it turns out that the leader is not right, then it is better to return to the first rule.

"So what Mr. Jokowi said is a guide," he said, quoted Thursday, August 3.

Sandiaga has now been declared a Vice Presidential Candidate from the United Development Party (PPP). However, Sandiaga has not yet received confirmation regarding the pairs of presidential candidates who will propose to him.
