Tingkatkan Taraf Hidup, Moeldoko Bantu 662 Keluarga Perhutan Di Sumut Dapat Bantuan Program Pemberdayaan

HUMBANG HASUNDUTAN - Not only did they get a certificate, 662 families of social forestry communities in Humbang Hasundutan district, Samosir district, and North Tapanuli Regency also received assistance from empowerment programs.

The provision of the inter-ministerial/institutional integration program is intended to improve the living standards of forestry communities.

The Presidential Chief of Staff, Moeldoko, emphasized that the provision of assistance for social forestry community empowerment programs is President Joko Widodo's mandate. Where, the President does not want the public to only get a certificate, but must also feel an increase in welfare.

"How can the President have an extraordinary spirit to think about his people. Especially farmers who get social forestry decrees," said Humbang Hasundutan, North Sumatra, Wednesday, August 2.

Previously, on Tuesday, Moeldoko symbolically led the handover of 82 inter-ministerial empowerment integration programs. This program is the result of the orchestration of the Presidential Staff Office with the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. There are four ministries and five SOEs involved.

The four ministries, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry with 15 activities, the Ministry of Agriculture with 14 activities, the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs with 8 activities, and the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries with 3 activities.

Meanwhile, five SOEs were involved, PLN with 17 activities, BRI with 9 activities, Hutama Karya with 2 activities, Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company with 9 activities, and 5 activities from the Indonesia Financial Group.

This cross-ministerial and state-owned empowerment program assistance is realized in various forms. Such as seed assistance, fertilizers, mentoring, training, and monitoring, to the construction of tourism environmental services roads and farming businesses.

"This empowerment program assistance has been adjusted to the needs of the community. So it's not careless," explained Moeldoko.

"We all hope that this assistance will be utilized as well as possible, so that the wishes of the President of the community not only to receive a certificate, but his life can also be improved and really materialized," he continued.

Moeldoko also ensured that the provision of assistance for the inter-ministerial empowerment integration program for the social forestry community would continue. However, the implementation will be carried out in stages and cannot be done at once.

"Because we need to synchronize with ministry/institutional programs. After that, we adjust it to the needs of each region. So it cannot be carried out at the same time in droves," he said.

The 2013-2015 TNI Commander also gave his appreciation to all ministries/agencies, BUMN, and Regional Governments who were involved and contributed to the empowerment of the social forestry community in North Sumatra.

For information, the provision of assistance for 82 inter-ministerial empowerment integration programs is an implementation of Presidential Regulation No. 28/2023 which was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo on May 30, 2023.
