PKB Uploads Long History Of Closeness To PDIP

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the DPP National Awakening Party Jazilul Fawaid said his party has a long history of closeness to the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP).

"If we look at history, I think the longest history is with PDIP," said Gus Jazil, JazilulFawaid's nickname, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 1.

He explained that since the birth of PKB until today, there have only been two different ways during the two period of government when together with the Democratic Party, supporting the government of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY).

At that time, PDIP became the opposition of the SBY government for two terms.

"Then unite again, when Pak Jokowi was in the era, it became 10 years," he said.

Gus Jazil said that the history of PKB was actually longer with two parties, namely the PDIP and the Democratic Party.

Meanwhile, regarding the PKB coalition with the Gerindra Party, Gus Jazil said the closeness of the two parties had recently occurred. Apart from the Gerindra Party being a party supporting Jokowi's government during the second period.

"If Gerindra recently loved the location, met, then we signed it," he said.

He also admitted that there were a number of circles who questioned why the Gerindra and PKB coalitions had not announced the pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates for the 2024 General Election.

"How come it doesn't happen, so I don't understand how," he said.
