JAKARTA - President Joko widodo visited the PT Pindad factory in Turen, Malang, East Java today to discuss the potential export of the company's main weapon system (alutsista). "Yes, especially the three of us with the Minister of Defense Pak Prabowo and the Minister of SOEs, Mr. Erick Thohir, want to visit Pindad because the demand from the export market for Pindad products has increased very sharply," Jokowi said in his statement after reviewing Bululawang Market, Malang, East Java, as reported by Antara, Monday, July 24. President Jokowi together with Prabowo and Erick Thohir will hold a meeting with the management of PT Pindad. "We will have a meeting later at Pindad with the President Commissioner, everyone. We want to decide where Pindad will be brought because there is indeed a demand, a very large demand from outside, for export," he said.

Jokowi invited Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto and SOE Minister Erick Thohir because Pindad was under the two ministers.
