PALANGKA RAYA - A joint team from the Police Forensic Laboratory, Bareskrim Polri, Polresta and Polda Central Kalimantan held a crime scene (TKP) at the location of the burning of the Palangka Raya City Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) office. The Head of Public Relations of the Central Kalimantan Police, Kombes Erlan Munaji, said that the results of the investigation and processing of the crime scene from the laboratory team and other joint teams would be submitted to the media crew if there was a conclusion. "For now there is no conclusion and they are still investigating the crime scene at the scene. Currently, the police are still investigating the fire," he said in Palangka Raya, as reported by Antara, Friday, July 21. Erlan said that currently several eyewitnesses have also been questioned by Palangka Raya Police investigators. With the testimony of several eyewitnesses, it will also be matched with the results of the crime scene conducted by the laboratory team so that the origin of the cause of the fire can be known. "Because this year is in the 2024 election stage, this incident is the attention of the Central Kalimantan Police. Then the security pattern will also be increased, so that the local Polda jurisdiction can be safe and there will be no disturbances to the security and social order," he said. The Central Kalimantan Police will also remind all police officers to optimize their personnel activities to maintain security and social order in their respective jurisdictions to deal with election activities that will be faced.
