Persecuted By Mario Dandy, David Ozora Cannot Fully Recover

JAKARTA - Doctor at Mayapada Kuningan Hospital, dr. Yeremia Tatang said David Ozora had a traumatic brain injury (diffuse axonal injury) as a result of being abused by Mario Dandy Satriyo. In fact, David is said to not be fully recovered.

The estimate for David's condition was conveyed by dr. Yeremia Tatang when presented as an expert in the trial of the alleged abuse case with the defendant Mario Dandy Satriyo today.

It started when Jeremiah told about David who had surgery on his ankle because he was the farthest during walking practice. The reason for this is that the motor nerves of the brain are disturbed.

"While in the recovery process, when the training was running, the right side was not strong enough and as a result, he (David) fell. So he also underwent surgery in the ankle area, once after outpatient treatment," said Yeremia in court at the South Jakarta District Court, Thursday, July 20.

Hearing this statement, the judge asked whether there was a possibility that David would recover to normal.

Jeremiah said anything could happen. However, according to him, with his current condition, David could not recover 100 percent.

"Can you not in this sense, maybe from a motor point of view here it has recovered and it also directly affects all kinds of activities?" asked the judge.

"If he recovers 100 percent you can, Your Honor, but there is a scar on his brain that makes recovery impossible 100 percent," answered Jeremiah.

"That means depending on 100 percent healing in this part of the brain that affects the legs and movement?" said the judge.

"Yes, Your Majesty," said Jeremiah.

Mario Dandy was charged with aggravated maltreatment. He brutally beat David Ozora's head.

As a result of the persecution, David Ozora was seriously injured. In fact, they have to undergo medical treatment for quite a long time.

Mario Dandy in this case was charged with Article 76 c in conjunction with Article 80 paragraph 2 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.

So, the prosecutor charged him with Article 355 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code Junto Article 55 Paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code and the subsidiary Article 355 paragraph 2 Junto Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code both primary and Article 355 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with 56 of the 2nd Criminal Code.
