Heavy Sanctions, Honorary Council Fires Judges Using Drugs

JAKARTA - The Honorary Council of Judges (MKH) dismissed the reported judge Danu Arman for using drugs in the workspace of the Rangkasbitung District Court (PN), Lebak, Banten. "Imposing sanctions on Danu Arman with severe sanctions in the form of dishonorable dismissal," said Chairman of the Honorary Council of Judges as well as Chairman of the Judicial Commission (KY) Amzulian Rifai at the Supreme Court Building (MA), as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday 18 July. MKH stated that Danu Arman had been proven to have violated a figure of 5.1 point and a figure of 7.1 joint decision between MA and KY regarding the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct of Judges. The panel of judges 5.1.1 point in the joint decision was that the judge had to behave undenioriginally. Then, point 7.1 stated that the judge must maintain the dignity and dignity of the judiciary and professional institutions, both inside and outside the court. "Ordered to the chairman of the Supreme Court to temporarily dismiss the judge reported, as from the time that this decision was read out until the is issued by the president's decision," said Amzulian. Previously, Danu Arman (DA) as reported in the trial of the case of drug-wearing judge in the Rangkasbitung District Court, Lebak, Banten, hopes that he would not be fired from his profession as a judge. "I really feel sad and promise not to repeat the act, and ask that he still be given the opportunity to be career as a judge and improve himself," said Danu while reading the memorandum of defense at the trial at the MA Building, Jakarta, Tuesday. The petition obtained a response from MKH member of the Supreme Court Mukti Fajar Nur Dewata. Mukti questioned whether a defendant or the parties could trust Danu to handle their case as a judge after repeatedly being sanctioned.

"God willing," replied Danu. Previously, Danu had been subject to severe sanctions in the form of suspension for two years because it was a fight for the inmates. MKH still decided to dishonorably dismiss Danu Arman.
