Gibran: Work On UAE Grant Infrastructure After Arrangement Of Gilingan Rampung Viaduk

Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka said a number of infrastructure projects in Solo, Central Java, with a budget from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government grant being carried out immediately after the completion of the Gilingan Viaduk arrangement.

"The Gilingan video on July 8 is open, God willing, in five days," said Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 3.

He said checks were carried out ahead of the opening of the main route to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque.

"After this, I checked there, after it was finished, I had to open it," he said.

Gibran said that after the Gilingan Viaduk was completed, the Surakarta City Government would start working on a number of infrastructures with grant funds from the UAE Government.

"Immediately, once disbursed, we will get approval from the Minister of Home Affairs directly for gas, because the time is very short," he said.

Although he has not been able to confirm when the grant funds will be disbursed, he hopes to be realized as soon as possible.

"Pray (it will be disbursed immediately), from our side it is ready. DED, all kinds of things are ready," he said.

Meanwhile, if the funds have been disbursed, all infrastructure will be carried out simultaneously so that it can be completed according to the target.

"If you can, everything is parallel, you don't have to go one by one because the time is tight. The target is to finish in 2024, everything must be finished," he said.

Previously, several infrastructure projects that would be carried out using grant funds from the UAE Government included the arrangement of the Surakarta Palace, the construction of the Manahan Sports Hall and the arrangement of slum areas in Solo City.
