JAKARTA - The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the National Police has changed the special number plate code intended for officials. Now, the code used is no longer 'RF' but Z. "I changed the number. For a special number in front of Z," said the Director of the Police Traffic Corps Reident, Brigadier General Yusri Yunus, to reporters, Kamsi, June 22. The special vehicle number plates are intended for state officials and the TNI-Polri who are included in the echelon 1 and 2 categories. This change in the special plate code is also a follow-up to the order of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to regulate its use. "Special police numbers and secret numbers, this is also the same as the order of the National Police Chief to us to discipline, because there are many special numbers and secret numbers, be it the RF. Then the secret number QH, QR, that's it, it's being brought under control, used by people who are not the rules," he said. The use of code Z on a special number plate will begin in November 2023. So, if a plate with the RF code is found, it can be confirmed to be fake. "So you will use the RF later if the month 11 is more and more upwards, it will be fake," said Yusri. Not only changing the code, Korlantas also updated the submission mechanism. Later, officials who are entitled to use the special plate are required to enter the application for submission to their respective supervisory inspectorates. For example, for members of the TNI, they not only submitted a request to the National Police Intelligence and Security Agency (Baintelkam) to get a special plate. However, it also reached the request letter to the TNI POM.

The goal is to facilitate monitoring and prosecution in the event of a traffic violation. "TNI friends submitted it to Kabaintelkam, respective POMs, including ground poms, air poms, sea pumps.
