North Sumatra Police Save 157 Victims Of TIP Case

The North Sumatra Police's Criminal Action Task Force (TPPO) and the North Sumatra Police have rescued 157 victims of the TIP case in the North Sumatra region.

It was recorded that from June 6 to June 19, 2023, the North Sumatra Police TIP Task Force revealed 14 cases.

A total of 27 people were named as suspects and eight suspects were on the People's Wanted List (DPO) and violated Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning TIP.

The Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi, said that the North Sumatra Police TPPO Task Force and its ranks, from June 6 to June 19, 2023, managed to uncover 14 cases.

The North Sumatra Regional Police revealed as many as 157 victims of TIP. TIP is a modern form of slavery and one of the worst treatments of violations of human dignity and dignity.

"In addition to women, children are also a group that is vulnerable to TIP or known as trafficking," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 20.

The Head of Public Relations appealed to the public not to be easily tempted by offers to work with high salaries both at home and abroad.
