JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that the former Head of Makassar Customs Andhi Pramono bought a luxury house from the receipt of gratuities. This allegation was investigated by the examination of two private parties, namely July Hira and Melyana Jap on Tuesday, 13. The price of the house is said to be the Head of the KPK News Section, Ali Fikri, reaching tens of billions of rupiah. "The two witnesses explained, among other things, related to the alleged purchase of foreign currency for payment for the purchase of a house in Pejaten at a price of tens of billions by the party designated as a suspect in this case," Ali said in a written statement, Wednesday, June 14. Ali has not explicitly detailed the value of the house he bought. However, he said the money that Andhi used came from savings in the name of his wife. "The source of the money is thought to be from a dollar savings bank account in the name of the suspect's wife," he said. As previously reported, Andhi Pramono was named a suspect in the alleged receipt of gratuities. This determination began after the public highlighted his assets, the KPK made a clarification. The KPK ensures that the determination of the suspect is in accordance with applicable regulations. Investigators have pocketed evidence of receipts by Andhi.

Furthermore, the KPK also charged Andhi Pramno with alleged money laundering (TPPU). This determination was made after investigators confiscated three luxury cars in the form of Hummer, Mini Moris, and Toyota Roadster from a shophouse.
