KPK Suspects Supreme Court Secretary Hasbi Hasan Pockets Billions Of Rupiah When Handling Cases

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that Secretary of the Supreme Court (MA) Hasbi Hasan received money from former Independent Commissioner of PT Wika Beton, Dadan Tri Yudianto. He is believed to have pocketed billions of rupiah while helping with the case.

"The alleged billions of rupiah that was also enjoyed by the person concerned (Hasbi, ed)," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Wednesday, June 7.

Ali has not yet detailed the nominal amount, it is certain that the money pocketed by Hasbi. But the KPK believes it has strong evidence.

"We make sure the evidence that the KPK has regarding the alleged flow of money," he said.

The KPK detained Dadan for the first 20 days in the bribery case for case management. He is suspected of being the broker who asked the Secretary of the Supreme Court (MA) Hasbi Hasan to help manage the case.

In this case, Dadan is suspected of pocketing part of Rp11.2 billion. The money was referred to by the KPK as a fee for cassation management with the defendant Budiman Gandi Suparman in the Supreme Court.

The giving was made after Dadan asked Hasbi to help secure the KSP Inti Dana case. "Some of the money was allegedly given by the suspect DTY (Dadan Tri Yudianto) to HH (Hasbi Hasan) around March 2022," said Deputy Chair Nurul Ghufron at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, June 6.
