The Ministry Of PUPR Helps Asgar Tukang Cukur To Own A Habitable House

GARUT - Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Housing helps original Garut (Asgar) hair artists or barbershops to own a habitable house.

"The policy of the Directorate General of Housing which is delegated to the Directorate of Public and Commercial Houses is ready to provide assistance in infrastructure, facilities, and utilities (PSU) for environmental roads in the housing estate of hair artists Asgar, members of the Garut Rambut Reducing Brotherhood (PPRG)," said Director of Public Houses and Commercial Directorate General of Housing of the Ministry of PUPR Fitrah Nur as reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 22.

Fitrah said the Directorate General of Housing also encouraged other communities to be able to own decent houses.

He also explained, based on the direction of the Director General of Housing Iwan Suprijanto, his party will continue to provide support to the community to have a decent house.

Asgar barbers are also considered to have the ability to try and pay affordable installments in collaboration with banks as distributors of mortgages.

The government's program to build livable houses for the community is benefited by hair artists or Asgar barbers. The barbersmen who are members of the PPRG can now have a complete residential complex with infrastructure, facilities, and utilities as well as affordable housing installments.

On the same occasion, the Chairperson of Asgar Indonesia, Irawan Hidayah, admitted that he was very grateful that the government provided housing assistance to PPRG Asgar hair artists.

"This is a form of government attention to us who work in the informal sector as barbers," said Irawan.

Currently, he said, PPRG has collaborated with Bank BTN so that barbershops can displace houses with subsidized mortgages.

"The first time we paid the money was 1 percent or Rp. 1.5 million and monthly installments of Rp. 800 thousand for a period of 20 years of mortgages, Rp. 1 million for 15 years, and Rp. 1.5 million for 10 years," said Iwan.

The land area prepared for the PPRG Asgar Asgar Artist Housing is around 8 hectares which is intended for 800 housing units. Currently, around 50 percent or 400 units have been built with a selling price of IDR 150 million per unit.

The house built has type 30/60 with a house size of 6 x 5 meters has a living room, two bedrooms, and a bathroom or type 30. The plot area is 6 x 10 meters and can be built for a kitchen in the back of the house.
