PDIP Is Like Gibran Like Sugar Is Surrounded By Ants

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP in the field of Honor, Komarudin Watubun, assessed that the position of Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka was like sugar which would continue to be surrounded by ants.

"You (Gibran) are like sugar with ants," said Komarudin at the PDIP DPP, Central Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 22.

For this reason, Gibran must be completely alert to the ants that come to Surakarta. Komarudin also asked Gibran to select which'smells' are good and which'smells' will actually plunge him.

"He's position is like sugar, which ants come from everywhere, it's just a matter of guarding which ants are good and which ants are plunging," he said.

Komarudin's explanation is related to the political dynamics that move ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

On the other hand, Komarudin admitted that he had heard firsthand the explanation from Gibran regarding the meeting with the General Chair of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto in Surakarta City, Central Java on Friday night (19/5).

According to him, this is important to clarify, because the information circulating in the mass media is still confusing.

"Today Mas Gibran came and explained and we understand that his position as a party cadre is also the mayor," said Komarudin.

"So the Secretary General conveyed the messages and I heard the explanation carefully, explained it well and I understand it. Moreover, he is a young cadre, our obligation is to give advice," he continued.

Meanwhile, Gibran admitted that he had explained all the chronology regarding his meeting with Prabowo Subianto.

"I have explained the chronology from A to Z regarding yesterday's meeting and thank God he can understand that," he said.

Gibran thanked all the advice from the PDIP elite. He also emphasized that he would remain upright with the policy of PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri regarding the 2024 presidential election.

"Once again, thank you for the input and advice and once again as a PDIP cadre, as a young cadre, I will remain upright in accordance with the direction of the general chairman," he said.
