A People's Disruption Fell Into The Batanghari River And Was Reported Missing

Jambi Basarnas sent a team to help the people of Rukam Village, Muaro Jambi Regency in searching for its residents who were reported missing and drowned after the victim fell into the Batanghari River.

"Currently, the SAR team is sweeping the Batanghari River to look for victims on behalf of Muhammad Hatta (26), but until now his body has not been found at the scene," said Head of Basarnas Jambi Kornelis, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, May 21.

The incident occurred on Friday night May 20 at around 21.00 WIB, the Jambi Search and Rescue Office received information from Amin, a resident of Rukam Village, that there had been a dangerous condition for humans, a resident was suspected of having been paralyzed and fell into the Batanghari River, Rukam Village, Taman Rajo District, Muaro Jambi Regency.

Kornelis said the incident occurred at 19.30 WIB, the victim, on behalf of Muhammad Hatta, was suspected of being infiltrated and plunged into the river, but when he was about to be rescued, the victim was carried away by the river current and then drowned.

After receiving this information, Basarnas dispatched a Rescue Team to conduct searches by bringing equipment such as aqua eyes, rubbet boats, diving equipment, evacuation equipment and medical equipment.

"This morning the Joint SAR team conducted a sweep with a distance of approximately 12 km to the downstream of the river," said Kornelis.*
