Having Paid Off Hajj Travel Fees, 5 Prospective Congregants In Jambi Cancel Departure

JAMBI - Five prospective pilgrims from Jambi Province are confirmed to have canceled their departure. In fact, they have paid the cost of the pilgrimage (Bipih).

The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) of Jambi Province revealed that this cancellation was due to health reasons.

Public Relations of the Jambi Provincial Ministry, Paspihani, explained that the five prospective hajj candidates came from Bungo Regency, one person Batanghari and three people from Sarolangun Regency. God willing, next year the five prospective hajj candidates can go to perform their pilgrimage.

However, he is optimistic that the Jambi Hajj quota this year will be fulfilled, although some have postponed their departure. The Jambi Provincial Ministry of Religion has prepared a reserve hajj pilgrim to replace the five prospective hajj candidates who canceled their departure.

"God willing, this year the Jambi quota will be fulfilled," he said.

Meanwhile, the Jambi City Health Office (Dinkes) ensured that it would carry out vaccinations for prospective hajj pilgrims from the area this week.

Head of the Jambi City Health Office, Ida Yuliati, said that vaccination was divided into three stages in accordance with the Hajj Guidance Group (KBIH).

On the first day, vaccination will be given to 256 people from two KBIHs. Furthermore, on the second day there were 210 people from two KBIHs and on the third day there were 110 people from two KBIHs. In total, there are 636 people consisting of 576 regular Hajj candidates and 60 reserve Hajj candidates.

Ida appealed to prospective hajj candidates to maintain their health by implementing a healthy lifestyle, so that they can carry out the pilgrimage to the fullest.

In addition, with a healthy body condition, pilgrims are also getting good vaccinations.
