Golkar Establishes Serious Communication With PKB And Gerindra

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party, Ahmad Doli Kurnia, revealed that his party is in serious communication with the National Awakening Party (PKB) and the Gerindra Party.

"That's what we are currently exploring in serious communication," said Doli as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 17.

According to him, Golkar is still open to all opportunities for cooperation with other political parties (political parties). Doli said the General Chairperson of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto also established communication with the Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono and the Chairman of the Upper House of the Democratic Party Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono alias SBY.

"From the start I said Golkar was an open party. We are very open to anyone to work together depending on the response, depending on the welcome of each political party," he said.

Even so, Golkar communicates with PKB and Gerindra the most. Meanwhile, PKB-Gerindra is a partner in the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KIR), while Golkar cooperates with the National Mandate Party (PAN) and the United Development Party (PPP) in the United Indonesia Coalition.

He considered that if there were political parties that welcomed it, it was possible that the party would cooperate to cooperate in the 2024 General Election.

"If anyone welcomes political parties to sit down together, discuss, then we will sit down together," said Doli.

Previously, Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin said his party would form a new coalition with the Golkar Party and Gerindra.

"Yes, a new coalition, if you have joined three, it means new. Yes, if you join three, it's new," said Cak Imin after visiting the residence of the 11th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Boediono, in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (17/5).

According to Cak Imin, with the union of these three parties, a stronger coalition will be created.

"Yes, the main thing is to unite, the coalition will automatically become stronger," said Cak Imin.

In addition to the three parties, continued Cak Imin, there will be a non-parliamentary political party (particle) that joins the new coalition. "It's the same with non-parliamentary parties. It's starting to get intensive," he said.

However, Cak Imin did not reveal who the non-parlementary party was. He only gave the party code to be identical to red.

"The color is red. It means red PDIP," he joked.
