Charta Politica Said, More Than Half Of Jokowi-Ma'ruf 2019 Voters Are Ready To Support Ganjar

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo has provided requirements for presidential candidates that must be a criterion for the public to choose. This requirement was conveyed at the People's Consultative Assembly (Musra) yesterday at Istora Senayan, Sunday, May 14.

Jokowi conveyed to the public that the presidential candidate must not only be brave but also close to the people. Even loudly, Jokowi also asked the public to choose a presidential candidate who understands the hearts of the people.

"This country is a big country, a big nation. Our population is already around 280 million. And our people need the right leader, need the right leader, who is close to the people. Those who understand the hearts of the people. Those who know the needs of the people. Those who want to work hard for the people. That's what it takes. And brave, who dare, dare for the sake of the people," said Jokowi loudly.

Interestingly, from the results of a national survey conducted by the Charta Politica Indonesia institution, Jokowi's supporters or voters interpreted this requirement to Ganjar Pranowo. This is stated in the data released, showing that 61 percent of Jokowi's voters prefer Ganjar Pranowo.

"61 percent of Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin voters put their choices on Ganjar Pranowo in a simulation of 3 names. The remaining 18 percent went to Prabowo Subianto, and 14 percent went to Anies Baswedan," said Executive Director of Charta Politica Indonesia Yunarto Wijaya, in a press statement released by the Charta Politica Indonesia National Survey, Monday 15 May.

Even in the same survey, Jokowi-Ma'aruf Amin voters believe that Ganjar Pranowo is the one who is able to continue the current presidential and vice presidential programs. With a fairly large figure, it touched 68 percent.

The Charta Politica survey was conducted using a face-to-face interview method between 2 and 7 May 2023 using the multistage random sampling method. Survey respondents amounted to 1,220 with a margin of error of 2.82%.

Respondents involved in surveys are at least 17 years old or have met voter requirements. The survey was conducted in all provinces in Indonesia with a quality control of 20% of the total sample.
