Pelindo Asks Riots At Tanjung Perak Port, Surabaya To Be Legally Processed

SURABAYA - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia Regional 3 wants every rioter in the Tanjung Perak Port of Surabaya to be legally processed so that a sense of deterrent arises and become an example so that it does not happen again.

Deputy for Public Relations and General Affairs of Pelindo Regional 3 Rendy Fendy revealed recently that he reported a 19-year-old child with the initials MAR to the Tanjung Perak Port Surabaya Resort Police (Polres).

"For beating a security officer, we suffered a broken nose," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 8.

"We have submitted evidence. Among them are post-mortem from the Surabaya PHC Hospital. Then we have also submitted CCTV evidence to the Tanjung Perak Port Police in Surabaya," he said.

According to him, the condition of the victim who suffered a broken nasal bone so far has not been able to come to work.

"The victim is still experiencing dizziness, trauma and tomorrow is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair the nasal bone," he said.

Information was obtained, the perpetrator MAR and his father, shortly before beating Pelindo security officers, had shown arrogance that the two were family members of the Tanjung Perak Port Authority Surabaya employees.

Mrs. MAR is said to be working as an Administrative Staff of the Port Authority of Tanjung Perak Surabaya. In addition, his grandfather is also a retired ASN Port Authority of Tanjung Perak Surabaya. However, the Surabaya Tanjung Perak Port Authority denied this.

"There has been no confirmation until now. At the Authority Office, no one has claimed that the perpetrator is his brother. No one has confirmed it yet," said Head of Public Relations of the Port Authority of Tanjung Perak Surabaya, Adies Frianto.

The Tanjung Perak Port Surabaya Police confirmed that they were handling the case reported by Pelindo Regional 3. It's just that the Police Chief AKBP Herlina and Head of Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Arief Ryzki Wicaksana are not willing to reveal the results of further investigations.
