HSS Regency Government Assigns Tourism Supervisors To Prevent Illegal Charges

The Office of Youth, Sports and Tourism of South Hulu Sungai Regency (Disporapar HSS), South Kalimantan, has assigned tourism supervisors to prevent illegal levies (extortion) on a number of tourist attractions. "To enter the tourist attraction managed by the regional government, we have set an official tariff, the tourism supervisor is expected to prevent non-essential levies," said Head of the HSS Regency Disporapar, Efran in Kandangan, Antara, Sunday, May 7. Efran said the number of tourism supervisors was still limited, so the HSS Regency Government asked all related parties to participate and provide complaint services. "We urge the sub-district, village and cooperation governments with the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis), so that they can jointly eradicate levies outside of this provision," said Efran. Efran revealed that the public also needs to know so as not to spend money that is not set at the tourist attraction location and if there are complaints or complaints to work together to convey it to the HSS Regency Disporapar so that it is easy to follow up. Regarding the tariff for visitors at tourist attractions managed by the community, the HSS Regency Government does not regulate tariffs and the public is allowed to apply the amount of tariffs. "They manage themselves at their own expense, if they can't be competitive, of course there are no visitors who want to go to their place," said Efran. Efran hopes that people who manage tourist attractions realize the COVID-19 pandemic will end soon and bring blessings to improve the economy so that they are wise to apply tariffs for tourist objects. Loksado's tourist attraction as a National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN), Efran added that the HSS Regency Government collaborated with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. "We will carry out a number of activities that can be an attraction for tourists both at home and abroad to come to HSS, such as the Loksado Festival, Tour de Lokasso and others," said Efran.

The HSS Regency Government also anticipates preparations for income, such as improving the infrastructure owned by the regional government.
