Andi Pangeran's Comments 'Halalkan Muhammadiyah Blood' Ended In Threat Of 6 Years In Prison

JAKARTA - Researcher from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Andi Pangerang Hasanuddin has been arrested and named a suspect in the aftermath of his comments that made Muhammadiyah's blood free. In that case, he was threatened with 6 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 1 billion.

"The threat of imprisonment is a maximum of 6 years and a maximum fine of Rp. 1 billion," said Head of Sub-Directorate II of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Kombes Rizki Agung Prakoso, to reporters, Monday, May 1.

The threat of sanctions is because Andi Pangerang is suspected of under Article 45A paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 28 paragraph 2 of the ITE Law.

Then, investigators also charged him with Article 45 B in conjunction with Article 29 of the ITE Law. Where, the penalty is imprisonment for a maximum of 4 years and a maximum fine of IDR 750 million.

In addition, the Director of Cyber Crime, Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Adi Vivid, said that currently Andi Pangerang is officially being held at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim) detention center. The detention was carried out while investigators completed the case file for the case.

"So we will detain the person concerned in this case. Then, the detention will be carried out at the Criminal Investigation Unit. As of today," said Vivid.

Previously, Andi Pangerang said that he was tired and emotional, which was the reason he was desperate to comment on SARA-based sentences.

"The person concerned stated that when conveying this, he was tired. Then he got emotional, because this is why the discussion was not finished, finally got emotional and the sentences or words were spoken," said Vivid.

This feeling of emotion and fatigue was because he was involved in discussions about the determination of Eid. However, after a lot of time and energy spent, there is still no bright spot.

"We had asked the person concerned that so far Mr. Thomas has often discussed how the focus of this statement is on determining Lebaran," he said.

"Well, apparently this conversation has been carried out repeatedly, and there is an answer, there is a question and answer, there is an opinion," continued Adi Vivid.

Until finally, Andi Pangerang Hasanuddin expressed his emotions by commenting on social media. However, it actually backfired for him. Because, the sentences or comments he uploaded were elements of SARA.

Meanwhile, his comments that are considered to contain SARA are;
