KPK Extends Detention Period For Corruption Suspects For The DKJA Railway Rail Project

JAKARTA - Investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) have extended the detention period of the suspects in the alleged corruption case at the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA).

"Today, Friday (28/4), the Investigative Team extended the detention period of HNO (Harno Trimadi), et al. for each of them for the next 40 days," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, April 28.

The ten suspects were extended to their detention period for the next 40 days, from May 2 to June 10, 2023 at the KPK Detention Center (Rutan).

The extension of the detention period, said Ali, was in order to support the KPK investigation process for the alleged corruption case of the railway construction and repair project in Java, Sumatra and Sulawesi.

"This action is part of the need for an investigation process so that evidence can be collected optimally," Ali explained.

In addition to the Director of Railway Infrastructure Harno Trimadi (HNO), the other suspects are the Head of the Central Java Railway Engineering Center (BTP) Putu Sumarjaya (PTU), and the Central Java BTP Commitment Making Officer (PPK) Bernard Hasibuan (BEN).

Then, PPK BPKA South Sulawesi Achmad Affandi (AFF), PPK for Railway Infrastructure Care Fadliansyah (FAD), and West Java BTP PPK Synto Pirjani Hutabarat (SYN). The six of them are suspects suspected of being bribe recipients.

Meanwhile, four other suspects suspected of giving bribes, namely the Director of PT IPA (Istana Putra Agung) Dion Renato Sugiarto (DIN), Director of PT DF (Dwifarita Fajarkharisma) Muchamad Hikmat (MUH), Director of PT KA Management Properti until February 2023 Yoseph Ibrahim (YOS), and VP of PT KA Management Properti Parjono (PAR).
