SEMARANG - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo asked all regional heads to synergize with the TNI-Polri to anticipate pasar tumpah (referred to as the 'spilled market' because market vendors spill onto the street) and potential places for crowds along the homecoming route. Apart from that, Ganjar also asked for road repairs in the area to be accelerated and put up signs and announced when the repairs would be carried out.

"Spill markets and places that become crowds, events, we ask the regions to take good care of it. We ask the Regency/City Government to deploy their Satpol PP to be able to invite community groups to be able to guard it, that's important," said Ganjar, Wednesday, April 12.

To provide comfort and safety for travelers, Ganjar Pranowo also requested that road repairs at the district/city level be accelerated. As for provincial-level roads, so far improvements have been made in stages.

"As the head of the region, I am trying to respond to our synergy with the police and the military. Where do I ask for road repairs? This road is important, because yesterday there were quite a lot of complaints about damaged roads," he said.

In addition to road repairs, Ganjar appealed to several buildings on the homecoming route to be prepared to restart emergency areas. This is to anticipate if the restart area that has been available is not enough to accommodate travelers.

"We are preparing buildings along the road, if needed for emergency rest areas," he said.

Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Pol Ahmad Luthfi said the total number of personnel to secure this year's Eid homecoming was 21,147 personnel. This number consists of 13,863 police personnel from the Central Java Regional Police, 1,222 TNI personnel, and 6,062 personnel from related agencies.

"The operation will start on April 18. The personnel will be deployed to 253 Pospam, Posyan, and Integrated Posts in Central Java. All routes in Central Java are ready to organize homecoming this year," he said after the coordination event with Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo.
