Overstay For 90 Days In Kediri, East Java, Immigration Deports Ex-League 1 Player Inisal WCA

JAKARTA - A foreign national who is also a former Indonesian League 1 player with the initials WCA (37) and his family was deported by the Kediri Class II Immigration Office, East Java, because they only exceed the validity period of permits or overstays for 90 days. "The foreigner is a former soccer player in Liga 1 who no longer has a club because his contract has expired with PSIS Semarang. Then, he left Indonesia and entered again with an on-arrival visa to find a new club," explained Kediri Head of Immigration Class II Office Denny Irawan, quoted from the official website of the Directorate General of Immigration, Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, April 6. Because she did not get a new contract, WCA reported herself to the Kediri Immigration Office. The Directorate General of Immigration repatriated WCA with his wife and three children through Soekarno Hatta International Airport on Thursday morning. WCA was repatriated with Qatar Airlines QR 955 on the Jakarta-Doha route, Qatar, and forwarded to Brazil. Its departure from Kediri to Jakarta was escorted by Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Officers (Inteljakim) of the Kediri Immigration Office in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures. "Oleh karena yang bersangkutan tidak mempunya biaya, akhirnya WCA dan keluargannya diperdeportasi dengan difinan oleh pihak Embassy (Kedutaan) Brazil," ujar Denny. Furthermore, because they were proven to have violated immigration rules, WCA and their families were subject to sanctions for Immigration Administrative Actions in the form of deportation and a list of deterrence so that they were not allowed to enter Indonesian territory for a certain period of time. Based on previous reports, the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights noted that from January to March 2023 620 problematic foreign nationals from Indonesia to their respective countries had deported 620 foreign nationals. Hundreds of foreigners were expelled from Indonesian territory because of several immigration violations, such as abusing visas and residence permits, living beyond the validity period of permits or overstays, disturbing public order, causing trouble, and disobeying applicable regulations in Indonesia.

"Against foreigners who have problems in Indonesia, we will give administrative sanctions in the form of detention, deportation, and deterrence or not being allowed to enter Indonesian territory again for a certain period of time," said Director General of Immigration Silmy Karim.
