JAKARTA - A member of the Battalion Task Force R 321/GT Kostrad Pratu Hamdan died after being shot by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) while serving at Post Yal, Yal District, Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains. Danrem 172/PWY Brigadier General Juinta Omboh Sembiring said Pratu Hamdan's body had been evacuated to Timika and would be flown to Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), on Tuesday for burial. "The shooting occurred at around 09.40 WIT while the victim was on duty at the guard post in Yal," said Danrem to ANTARA in Jayapura, Monday, April 3. Currently, Pratu Hamdan's body is being carried out by relocation at the Timika Hospital. Regarding the group of perpetrators, Sembiring said that currently the shooter is still being investigated. "We have not been able to confirm the group that carried out the shooting that caused Pratu Hamdan to die," said Sembiring.
