67 Years Of Lokananta, Wendi Putranto: Mulai Dirasakan Various Communities

JAKARTA - Lokananta, which is located in Surakarta, Central Java, today celebrates its 67th anniversary, Sunday, October 29. Established since 1956, Lokananta, which was originally a black plate producer, and later turned into a record label, has now become a modern art area operated by PT Ruang Riang Lokananta.

Wendi Putranto, representing the operator, expressed his hope that Lokananta could play an active role in supporting the advancement of art, especially music in Surakarta and its surroundings.

"Lokanata as a cultural heritage site on its journey in the 67th year, besides having to adapt to the times, it must also be relevant and beneficial for the latest music and creative scenarios, especially in the city of Surakarta and its surroundings," said Wendi Putranto in his statement, Saturday, October 28.

Since reopening last June, the response of the community and the art community to Lokananta has also shown a positive direction. More than 98 thousand visitors came in the last four months.

"His role as a musical and creative hub destination in Surakarta is slowly starting to be felt by various communities, ranging from the traditional arts community, education, design, music, to films," said Wendi.

"Since it was revitalized and reopened to the public from early June to now, for the last four months Lokananta has been visited by more than 98 thousand visitors from various cities in Indonesia," he added.

Over the past four months, Lokananta has also held many events from various creative communities, arts and culture, city governments, SOEs to companies and multi-national.

Starting from the Solo Putra Putri Election, Pentas Wayang Darmasuta, Putri Ariani's music concert, #FlksingLokal with Google & YouTube Indonesia, M Bloc Design Week, and Burnout held at Lokananta.

eighteen food, beverage, and creative products outlets have also officially operated in Lokananta. Their existence complements the art area which is becoming more modern.

Meanwhile, to commemorate the 67th anniversary, there will be Lokananta 67, an event that is celebrated specifically for anniversary celebrations.

Lokananta 67 will be held in the Lokananta area, Surakarta, Central Java, today, Sunday, October 29 at 13.00 to 23.00 WIB.

Unlike the 2023 Lokananta Festival last June, which presented national well-known musicians and bands, the Lokananta 67 event will feature the best musicians and bands from the latest local decrees from Surakarta, Yogyakarta and its surroundings.

Musicians and bands that will appear are Shaggydog, Down For Life, Solonensis, MTAD, Malinoa and The Dogpack, Malu2x, The Glow, Man Osman, Laju Memanas, Orkes Background Jembar, Malinoa & The Dogpack, the Mudub to Kid Monster.
