Ivo Chu Releases Single Mistaken Heart, Promotes EDM With Different Nuances

Ivo Chu released a new single titled Risalah Hati on Thursday, August 10 yesterday. This song is the second single out of three to attend this year.

Risalah Hati was composed by songwriter and disc jockey (DJ) Sapta Rendra. The touch of EDM is a distinct feature of this song.

Even though it is full of EDM nuances, Ivo Chu feels that this song has its own complexity. He said Risalah Hati is a song of confusion.

The song Risalah Hati is about heartache. What is certain is that it is related, everyone must have experience of heartache," said Ivo Chu during a press conference in Kalibata, South Jakarta on the same day.

Through this song, Ivo Chu also wants to present himself differently. With the hijab that is his trademark, he wants to show that the style of wearing clothes does not prevent him from being creative.

"I want to see if I can also bring a lot of musical styles. Our style of clothing is not an obstacle to continue to be creative and innovate," said Ivo Chu.

Regarding the arrangement of his newest song, Ivo has never singed the EDM genre at all. But on the other hand, he felt challenged to perform it well.

"A week I tried it, how come it's challenging, because I've never had EDM music. After that, that's fine, I want to,"

The recording that was done did not take long. After going through several processes, take vocals finished within a day.

For information, Ivo Chu started his musical career as the vocalist of the rock band Surabaya in the 2000s. Long time inactive, he emerged as a soloist after releasing a song called Time Answering earlier this year.
