Shanna Shannon And Stevan Pasaribu Collaborate Through Menunting

JAKARTA - Young singer Shanna Shannon collaborated with Stevan Pasaribu through a new single entitled Haunting. The collaboration between the two is the first for their respective music labels, Trinity Optima Production and Musica Studios.

Haunting tells the story of a couple whose relationship has run aground, but both of them still want to find out each other. This song was created by Melly Goeslaw.

Both Shannon and Stevan were happy to have the opportunity to sing Melly's duet song. Both said that the work of Anto Hoed's wife was unquestionable in terms of quality.

"It must be very proud, because Teh Melly is one of the musicians and composers that we have known for a long time, you could say it's a living legend," said Stevan Pasaribu at Senayan Park, Central Jakarta on Wednesday, July 5.

"I'm also very proud. This is my third song composed by Teh Melly. Every song I composed by Teh Melly is certainly very happy, there's no doubt," said Shanna Shannon.

Despite being 11 years apart, Stevan doesn't feel awkward to collaborate with Shannon. It didn't take long for Stevan to get along well and build chemistry with Shannon who is much younger.

"We just ask each other, for example, what we like. Then we exchange information, actually, because in the conversation, the person is getting closer," said Stevan.

Meanwhile, Melly Goeslaw saw that her songs were sung by Shannon and Stevan. He assessed that both of them could represent the love of young people now that is told in the song.

Hunting's song is intended for young people whose love is more complicated than my past. Young people today, small things can be big, after which they regret it. I believe this song can represent many hearts and feelings," said Melly Goeslaw.
