Corey Taylor Signs Global Agreement With BMG For Second Solo Album

JAKARTA - Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor signed a "global record agreement" with BMG to release his second solo album, CMF2.

CMFT continued in 2020 will be released later this year through Taylor's label, Decible Cooper.

"I want to work with BMG because they really want to work with me, and they have been keeping the spirit for rock, punk and metal over the past few years," Taylor told Billboard.

"We are very pleased to welcome Corey Taylor into the BMG family," Executive VP of New York/Senior VP of International Marketing Jason Hradil said in a statement.

"His new album is an extension of the outstanding work he has accumulated during his career, and we can't wait for fans around the world to hear about it later this year."

Meanwhile, Thomas Scherer, president of BMG's repertoire and marketing, Los Angeles and New York, added that it was fascinated after hearing Taylor's new album.

"His music is absolutely brilliant with suitable marketing skills. It is an honor to be a partner for inspiring artists and entrepreneurs like Corey Taylor and strengthen his vision globally," he said.
