Gogoro Presents Smart Key Innovation At Apple Wallet For Electric Motor Owners In Taiwan

JAKARTA - Gogoro, a leader in the battery exchange ecosystem for sustainable mobility solutions in urban areas, announced innovative steps by integrating each of its Smartscooters to Apple Wallet on the iPhone and Apple Watch.

Quoted from Gogoro's official website on Friday, November 17, regarding the smart key system through Near Field Communication (NFC) which allows users to unlock and start the vehicle easily.

This feature allows users not only to unlock and turn on their scooters easily but also share keys with other iOS users. Unfortunately, this feature is currently only available to customers in Taiwan.

Scooter Key on Apple Wallet will first be introduced to the Gogoro SuperSport TCS, Gogoro Delight, Gogoro CrossOver, and Gogoro CrossOver models. This feature will be available for around 300 thousand customers in Taiwan.

Scooter Key on Apple Wallet brings a contactless and easy driving experience for motorists, while providing additional benefits in terms of security and privacy. Once the scooter key is added to Apple Wallet, users only need to get their device closer to the scooter reader with NFC to unlock the vehicle smoothly.
