BMW M 1000 R Launches, Price Touches IDR 600 Million

JAKARTA - BMW Motorrad officially launched the M 1000 R with a sporty and stocky design for the Indian market.

As a naked bike, this motorbike comes with two types, namely Standard and Competition which will compete with several well-known brands, such as Ducati Streetfighter V4 to Kawasaki Z H2.

Quoted from the Bikewale page, Monday, October 9, the BMW M 1000 R comes with a single pod headlights design plus a sturdy tank, making it look dashing. The handlebar is also flat as well as the typical two-level seat of the stolen motorbike.

There are several differences presented for both types, for Competition equipped with several BMW M parts such as, tunable M feettep, M carbon parts in several parts such as carbon rims and many more.

Of course not a few are curious about the engine from the BMW M 1000 R, this time the manufacturer presents an inline 4 cylinder engine with a capacity of 999cc, fluid cooled with 210 dk of power and 113 Nm of torque and can go up to 280 km/hour. The machine is connected to transmission of 6 complete accelerations with a slip & assist cluster and ShiftCam BMW.

Some interesting features are also embedded, such as four driving modes consisting of Rain, Road, Dynamic and Race, which can be changed to a 6.5-inch TFT screen. Not only that, it is also equipped with several other features including transaction control, ABS, wheelie control, engine brake control, launch control.

In terms of comfort, this one motor is equipped with a 45mm upside front suspension upside in front, and a monoshock in the back complete with compressional and rebounded tuning in both. The braking sector uses a double disk or a 320mm double-disc and 220mm in the back.

The matter of color, for Standard type comes with the choice of Light White, while for Competition type with Blackstorm Metallic (black, blue and red) colors. For the price in India there is 3,300,000 rupees or around Rp619.5 million for the Standard type, and for Competition type it is priced at 3,800,000 rupees or equivalent to Rp713.3 million.
